PromGirl.Com & Next Models Reveal Winners of International Model Search

After a month-long process of narrowing down all entries to ten finalists, followed by a public voting session, NEXT and PromGirl have awarded seventeen year old Breanne Smith from Fort Wayne, IN and sixteen year old Alex Fortado of Staunton, IL with winning prize packages.

From March 8th through May 6th, contestants entered on the website http://www.areyouthenextpromgirl.com by submitting details and photos. Industry executives at NEXT then reviewed all entries and selected the ten finalists based on overall appearance and photogenic qualities. Each of the ten finalists then created a short video explaining why they should be The Next PromGirl. The videos were posted to a landing page on the official website where the public could cast their vote once per day for their favorite contestant.

After one week, Breanne Smith and Alex Fortado had the highest combined totals (public votes 33%, judges’ votes 67%) and were crowned the winners. The prize package includes a general modeling contract with NEXT Models, an all expenses paid trip to NYC, one prom photo shoot featured on PromGirl.com and one fashion photo shoot, a $500 gift certificate to PromGirl.com and a professional style consultation.
