IDT CORP'S BOARD RAISED ITS CASH DIVIDEND TO $0.23 FOR Q3 (IDT)
Snapshot Report ) board of directors raised IDT's cash dividend by about 5% from $0.22 per share to $0.23 for Q3 of the company's 2011 fiscal year. The dividend will be paid on July 12, 2011 to shareholders of record of IDT Corporation Class A Common Stock and Class B Common Stock as of the close of business on July 1st.
"IDT's Board made a commitment to pay dividends commensurate with the Company's operational performance, financial resources and capital requirements," commented IDT's Chairman and CEO, Howard Jonas. "Our businesses have continued to generate consistent earnings and cash-flow and our liquidity and balance sheet have continued to improve even as we have paid dividends at the prior levels and invested in key growth opportunities. We are pleased to increase our dividend and continue sharing profits with our investors."
IDT has a potential upside of 61.1% based on a current price of $24.83 and an average consensus analyst price target of $40.
IDT is currently below its 50-day moving average (MA) of $27.55 and should find support at its 200-day MA of $23.56.
In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day MA has fallen 0.7% while the 200-day MA has risen 0.6%.
IDT Corporation provides prepaid debit and rechargeable calling cards, wholesale carrier services, and consumer local and long distance phone services. The Company also has operations that enable it to acquire, finance, and produce animated entertainment programming and to distribute home entertainment content to the mass market. Stockholm, Sweden, 03/29/2011 – IDT Retail Europe today launched its new Red Cross International Calling Card. The Red Cross calling card will save consumers from 50 percent up to 94 percent of calling costs compared to regular international long distance rates while supporting Red Cross’ global relief mission. IDT will donate 10% of the face value of each card sold directly to the Red Cross Relief and Development Fund.
