BHP honors students at Evening of Excellence

The following students received scholarships at the Belton-Honea Path High School Evening of Excellence. Belton-Honea Path High School held its 17-year Evening of Excellence on May 18 at Erskine College. The Evening of Excellence honors students who have excelled in the areas of academics, attendance, and behavior/citizenship.

BHP principal Jimmy Ouzts welcomed students, faculty and parents to the Evening of Excellence. Baldor Electric representative Mike Butler gave the introductory remarks.

Anderson School District Two board member Dr. Danny Hawkins recognized the students who maintained a GPA 4.5 or higher for the first-third nine weeks of the school year. Seniors: Derrick Brown, Danielle Burgess, Robert Clarke, Dixie Driver, Sarah Dunlap, Ashlee Greer, Peyton Kelly, Deion Latimer, Jessica Magaha, Katie McKinley, Emily Meeks, C. J. Minor, B. J. Mullinax, Taylor Richey, Kyle Ritland, Trevor Ritland, Christopher Salley, Stephen Sellers, Ryan G. Stevens, Christina Webb, Coleman Welch and Brandon Whitmire. Juniors: Khadesia Barmore, Annaruth Branyon, Jacklind Buffington, John Clink-scales, Candace Kyle, Jessica Lindley, Kathleen Powell, Adrianna Rivest, Paige Sellers, Whitney Sutton, Allison Warner, Phillip Wood and Brant Young. Sophomores: Rebecca Ashley, Carlee Campbell, Sarah Clinkscales, Kori Cooley, Brianna Dyar, Makenzie Frost, MaryLee Osborne, Lauren Richey, Ryann Shelton and Harrison Timms. Freshmen: Shawna Cook, Gracyn Kelly, Caroline Martin, Charlie Meeks, Timothy Powell and Brooke Smith.

Juniors: Chelsea Latimer, Holden Masters, Gabrielle Powell, Andrew Rogers, Emma Sherard, Tyler Slaten, Dalton Smith and Brittany Strickland. Sophomores: Jordan Baylor, Brody Buffington, Stefine Chastain, Brooks DeVore, Tiffany Goff, Randall Higgins, Luke Howell, Kensley Hutchins, Kirsten Jeanes, Cole McCollum, Luke Miller, Mark Miller, Brandon Phillips, Hannah Richey and Megan Sams.
